taken. Fall 2011 in North Eastern Arkansas. The trees were starting to turn and the sky was gorgeous. Fall is hands-down my favorite season. The many different shades of orange, yellows and browns on the leaves and trees are beautiful. The cooler weather and crisp air means it’s time for me to bring out my comfy hoodies, leggings, and boots. I love the smells of fall … from pumpkin/apple spice candles to a turkey roasting in the oven.
I am also an October baby, so that makes me a little partial to Fall.
Memories Made
As a child, Halloween was my favorite event in the Fall. I always looked forward to trick-or-treating because of the homemade popcorn balls made by a sweet older lady that lived down the road. They were absolutely delicious!

A beautiful Fall arrangement I made, that I enjoy every Fall.Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. If you make a purchase through my affiliate links, I’ll earn a commission, at no additional cost to you. Read my full disclosure here.
Every year my younger brother and I would dress up as our favorite character from that year (Click here to see some popular costumes). We took our dad’s hand and off to visit one of the sweetest ladies in our town to get our popcorn balls. If we didn’t go to any other house that was fine by us because at least we got our homemade popcorn balls.
Not only do we get to experience Halloween but Fall also means Thanksgiving! The holiday filled with family, friends, traditions, and such great food. The Macy’s Day Thanksgiving Parade has always been one of my favorite traditions on Thanksgiving day. I watched it every year, as a child, while the aroma of Thanksgiving dinner filled the house.

Even though I host Thanksgiving now, as an adult, I still continue to make time to watch the parade. My bucket list consists of me attending this parade in person. I guess you could say I’m a kid at heart, because seeing this parade in person would make me the happiest person on earth.
Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins

steamy cup of coffee on the cool Fall mornings. I can’t talk about Fall without talking about pumpkins. Pumpkins are everywhere this time of year. They are in smells, on front porches, on our dinner table, in our decorations, and even in our coffee. Pumpkins symbolize the Fall season is upon us. They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. I, for one, love pumpkins in my decorations and in my pies, but I am not a fan of the ever so popular pumpkin spice coffee or lates.

Some of my most favorite decorations around my home consist of pumpkins. There are assortments of pumpkins on my sofa tables and bookshelves. I love using pumpkins in the Fall as the focal point in my decorations.

Fall really is a magical and gorgeous season and there are so many more reasons that I could list to describe why it’s my favorite season, but then this would become a novel.
So what are you favorite parts of Fall? Are they anything like mine, or do you have Fall childhood traditions that you still celebrate as an adult?
